Duro Piston Pump Manual

The discharge pressure of the pump, even at a low volume rate, is quite high at times, and only a narrow range of heavy liquids and lubricants can be handled with the piston pump.
Piston pumps are used mostly for drinking supplies, particularly for motor homes and other vehicles. They are quite durable, because they operate with a closed system that does not require a filter or seal. The discharge head is mounted on the pump in exactly the same fashion as the intake and can, therefore, be disconnected for maintenance and replacement. This is a sealed working system that can operate with an oil pressure of up to three atmospheres. It is the most simple kind of positive displacement pump and is capable of ensuring an even pressure throughout the whole volume of liquid that is sent out by the pump.
Now the next part is for the pump to be pulled open, and this is done by the introduction of any liquid to the cylinder. This produces a reaction force on the lower piston that is greater than that on the upper one, thus forcing it upwards. The rollers are positioned in such a way as to allow the passage of liquid out while the upper piston is raised. During this movement the rubber tube and balls move downwards and backwards over the tube.
The system normally has an upper cylindrical, washer-like piston that is kept in a vertical position by a spring. In the bottom of this cylinder there is a valve, and on top of this valve there is a leather cup. Above this cap there is an upper piston. The lower piston is hollow and has a rubber tube running through it for effecting downward movement of the liquid, while the upper piston has two rollers in it that move backwards and forwards over the end of the rubber tube. These rollers form a seal between the upper valve and the lower one. At the same time that the upper piston rises, the rubber tube and rollers fall and move forwards thus driving the liquid upwards, while in the meantime the lower piston descends, thus creating a negative pressure. 7211a4ac4a
